Samsung Galaxy S25 edge details specification

Samsung Galaxy S25Edge

Detailed and Expectations

1. Design & Display

· Display: The hallmark of the "Edge" series is its curved display. Expect a stunning Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, likely between 6.7 to 6.8 inches, with a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate for fluid scrolling and gaming. The curvature might be subtler than previous models for better ergonomics.

· Build Quality: A premium build with an Armor Aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus (or newer) on both front and back is almost certain.

· S-Pen: Historically, the "Edge" model does not support the S-Pen, which is reserved for the Ultra model. It is highly unlikely the S25 Edge will feature built-in S-Pen support.

2. Performance & Chipset

This is one of the most anticipated aspects. The S25 series is expected to be a performance powerhouse.

· Processor: Depending on your region, you will get either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Samsung's own Exynos 2500. Both are expected to be built on a new, more efficient 3nm process, offering significant gains in speed and battery life.

· RAM & Storage: Likely starting with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with options to go higher.

3. Camera

While the Ultra model typically gets the most radical camera upgrades, the Edge (or "Plus") model still boasts a very capable system.

· Triple Camera System:

  · Main Sensor: A 50MP main sensor is expected. There are strong rumors of Samsung moving to a new, larger sensor for better light capture.

  · Ultra-Wide: A 12MP ultra-wide sensor.

  · Telephoto: A 10MP or 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom is the most likely configuration.

· AI Photography: The biggest improvements will come from software and AI. Expect the next generation of Galaxy AI to offer more advanced photo editing tools, better night mode, and smarter scene optimization.

4. Battery & Charging

· Battery Capacity: A battery capacity in the range of 4,900mAh to 5,000mAh is a safe bet, aiming for all-day battery life.

· Charging: Samsung has been conservative with charging speeds. It will likely support 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. There's a small chance we might see a bump to 65W, but it's not widely rumored.

5. Software & AI

· OS: The S25 Edge will launch with Android 15 out of the box, skinned with Samsung's One UI 7.

· Galaxy AI 2.0: AI was the headline feature of the S24 series. The S25 will double down on this. Expect more powerful, on-device AI features for translation, summarization, creative tasks, and personalized system behavior.

6. Price & Availability

· Expected Price: Given global inflation and the cost of new technology, a slight price increase is possible. We can expect a starting price around $1,099 - $1,199 USD.

· Release Date: Based on Samsung's typical schedule, the official unveiling will likely be in February 2025, with pre-orders starting immediately.
